To celebrate the success of our students completing the YAFTA Diplomas, a graduation ceremony is held in Leeds to award students with their certificates and watch their final end of year films on the big screen.
Every event is always a brilliant opportunity to appreciate and celebrate how far our students have come, not only in their skill and craft of screen acting, but also in confidence and attitude: They walk a little taller knowing they have qualified as professional screen actors and are fully prepared to undertake a career in film and television.
The graduation ceremony is a highlight of the year for both staff and students.
The YAFTA Group celebrated its 10th Anniversary at a special Graduation Showcase event at the Royal Armouries in Leeds in July 2023, bringing together staff, students and graduates from across the years. Inspiring speeches were shared from tutor David Zezulka who was one of the original teaching staff at YAFTA when it launched in 2013, and Sophie Martin who was a graduate of the first cohort of Acting for Screen Diploma students in 2016.
