James Moore

How long have you been acting and with YAFTA Talent Agency?

I have been with YAFTA for almost one year, but i have been acting since I was 14!

What do you love about the industry?

I love that the industry is slowly becoming more accepting and diverse when it comes to disability as well as trans actors and I feel like more trans and disabled people are being considered for roles.

What are the key skills/attributes you think someone needs to work in the industry?

Being friendly is probably the number one thing that will help you! But also being patient, because there is a lot of waiting in acting when you’re in TV especially. I probably spend more time waiting than anything else!

What advice would you give someone looking to get into film and TV acting?

Find an agent, develop a showreel or audition tape and basically market yourself. Believe in yourself and put time and passion into what you do and others will believe in you.

Which film or TV episodes would you choose to a) Watch on repeat b) See for the first time c)Wouldn’t watch again?

I’d watch The Office (American version) on repeat, Twin Peaks I’d like to re-watch for the first time, and I think I could live without seeing Disjointed again…utter cringe!
