YAFTA LTD offer professional screen acting training to children, teenagers, adults and those with learning disabilities. We offer the opportunity for students to learn about the acting industry as well as developing the high level of acting skill required to succeed as a professional actor.

Our unique combination of practical performance and business skills training is delivered through a competency based structured syllabus which has been designed by graduates from the worlds top drama schools as well as occupational psychologists who specialise in assessment and selection.

All students from YAFTA will benefit from industry opportunities through YAFTA Talent Agency when they reach the required level of skill and professionalism required to be represented by YAFTA Talent Agency (PMA).

Our syllabus is structured for the following groups:

  • Grade 1 to 6: Children and Teenagers
  • Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Certification: Adults
  • YAFTA Acting for Screen Diploma Course: Teenagers & Adults who are serious about pursuing careers in the industry.

PACKAGES: YAFTA offers three franchise packages. Our franchise packages start at £10000 plus VAT.

YAFTA Basic Franchise Package

The YAFTA Basic franchise package allows you to offer Grade 1 to Grade 6 of the YAFTA competency based structured syllabus in classes for children and teenagers only. There are no limitations on how many students, classes or evenings you operate on in your specified area which means that your earning potential is decided by how many evenings and weekends you choose to run on.

YAFTA Academy Franchise Package

The YAFTA Academy Franchise Package allows you to operate Grade 1 to Grade 6 and the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels of our fully structured syllabus for child, teen and adult students in your specified area. You are not limited to how many days per week you can operate on and will benefit from the professional opportunities that YAFTA can offer to your students.

YAFTA Professional Franchise Package

The YAFTA Professional Franchise Package allows you to run all YAFTA Programmes in your specified area. This includes; Grade 1 to Grade 6 for child and teenage students; Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Certification for Adult students and most importantly, this includes the YAFTA Acting for Screen Diploma Programme, which offers huge earning potential.

REQUIREMENTS:

Teachers

We have very high standards for our teaching staff here at YAFTA. We pride ourselves on the benchmark that we have set for our teaching staff which ensures we maintain the excellent educational standards offered at YAFTA.

  • A degree in Acting, ideally a full time Drama School accredited degree.
  • DBS Certification if working with children or vulnerable adults
  • Paediatric first aid if working with children
  • First aid if working with vulnerable adults
  • Professional Screen Acting experience

If you don’t meet the above requirements, you are still able to own and run a YAFTA Franchise, however, you must hire teachers that meet the YAFTA standards to teach classes at your academy.

Franchise Business Manager:

The franchise business manager will oversee the management and running of the YAFTA franchise within the specified location. You will ensure that tutors with appropriate qualifications are hired to undertake the teaching of the syllabus in your academy and will ensure the operational efficiency of your team.

You will have an understanding of the acting industry through being an ex-actor yourself, having children in the industry or through working within the industry in some capacity.

You will have business experience and understand the requirements of running a business including people management skills.

Franchise Business Manager & Teacher:

The franchise business manager and teacher must meet the requirements of both the franchise business manager and teacher specifications as mentioned above.

SUPPORT: Starting a new business can be a daunting task. However, fear not, as the team at YAFTA Head Office are here to support you every step of the way. As a franchisee, you will have access to full support on every aspect of running your franchise from accounting & finance, marketing & advertising, recruiting teachers, publicity, administration etc.

Successful applicants will be required to attend a one week training course at our YAFTA Head Office in Leeds which take place twice a year.
