OUR AIM AT YAFTA

To prepare all students for work as a professional film and TV actors
We educate our students to equip them with the necessary skills, tools, knowledge and psychological preparation which are essential to succeed in the film and TV industry.

Through an engaging, exciting and enriching environment, we endeavour to develop highly competent actors who exhibit a proactive and professional attitude towards their career, craft and education. We encourage the development of a number of important transferable skills which will aid students in their personal lives, school education and working lives.

We believe that in order to teach acting you must have trained in it yourself at a high level. All YAFTA tutors are drama school trained, have professional screen acting experience in mainstream film & TV work, are paediatric first aid qualified and hold DBS certification when working with children or vulnerable adults. Our class sizes are kept small to ensure that students get the most out of their education at YAFTA.
